Nancy O'Dell's career began in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and news reporter for WPDE-TV. Later, she worked at WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. In Charleston O'Dell's stories regarding the police's lenient approach to DUI cases led to an State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to states authorities again releasing a more stringent directive regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell received the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell's experience in Charleston was the reason she joined as a co-anchor, reporter and NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Before becoming a part of Access Hollywood she was a co-anchor on weekdays as well as NBC's weekend co-anchor. The present role of O'Dell as a host on Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News. She's reported on the Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted several Pre-ShowArrivals Shows for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Her other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
